BAD A$$ SAHM
My full time job and my life's true passion - a Stay At Home Mom. I love it. I hate it. It's rewarding. It's hard as F. Some days go by with rainbows and butterflies, birds chirping and the kids whispering sweat nothings in my ear while smothering me with the most beautiful angel kisses. Otherdays (90% of days) happen, and I survive - with kid crap behind my non-manicured nails, puke on my 3 day old yoga pants, raging headaches (you know that kind where it feels like a brick smoked you upside the head), kids screaming, fighting (like seriously how can a 10month old and a 2 year old communicate enough to fight - you tell me!), and when the hubs calls home to tell you about his super-awesome day your only reply is "I'm ready to jump off the roof if your not home in 10 minutes".
Now, don't get me wrong - those awesome days (even if they are few or far between) still completely outweigh the rough ones! But everyone needs some outlet on "those" days to survive. I've tried different things; working out (lets be realistic - an elliptical run with a toddler hanging off your leg is not a pretty site - although it is pretty hilarious for both of us), golf (how can someone loose their entire set of clubs in the pond??), a relaxing late night country walk (until the coyotes started howling and it turned into a full blown ankle rolling sprint).
So you want to hear my key to sanity.... The one thing that I found most effective on those stay at home crazy days... loosing myself in the thoughts and daydreams that I can be anyone... super mom, Carrie Bradshaw, ANYONE. So on this crazy Monday.... Stay at home mom attire in full fashion, crazy hair and 2 day old makeup needing an outlet...

YES... TODAY I AM OLIVIA POPE (even if it's for 2 seconds between bites of leftover KD and crying babies)!
